Job summary

PCL Constructors Pacific Rim PTY Ltd is seeking an HSE Coordinator to support safety across our New South Wales solar projects. You will help implement policies, conduct site inspections, and ensure regulatory compliance on multiple sites.

The role requires a WHS qualification and 2–4 years of experience in a similar role. We offer employee ownership, discretionary bonuses, relocation assistance, and strong training for career growth within a global construction group.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Certificate IV in WHS or equivalent required.
• 2–4 years of HSE experience in construction or renewable energy preferred.
• Knowledge of WHS legislation and ISO standards.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist in development, implementation, and maintenance of HSE policies and management systems.
• Conduct site inspections, audits and risk assessments to ensure compliance.
• Support HSE inductions and training sessions for site personnel.
• Monitor HSE performance metrics, incidents and corrective actions.
• Investigate incidents and assist in root cause analysis and reporting.
• Maintain HSE documentation including safety plans and SWMS/JHAs.
• Liaise with project teams, contractors and regulators on HSE requirements.
• Promote a proactive safety culture across the organisation.
• Support emergency response planning and drills.

• Investigate incidents, near misses, and non-conformances, and assist in root cause analysis and reporting.


• Maintain HSE documentation, including safety plans, SWMS, JHAs, and environmental management plans.


• Liaise with project teams, contractors, and regulatory bodies to ensure alignment with HSE requirements.


• Promote a proactive safety culture and environmental awareness across all levels of the organization.


• Support emergency response planning and drills.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Certificate IV in Work Health and Safety (WHS) or equivalent.


• 2 to 4 years of experience in a similar HSE role, preferably within the construction or renewable energy sector.


• Knowledge of relevant HSE legislation, codes of practice, and standards (e.g., WHS Act, ISO 45001, ISO 14001).


• Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.


• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast‑paced project environment.


• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and HSE reporting tools.
