Job summary

UGL is seeking an experienced HSE Advisor to support major telecommunications infrastructure projects in Sydney and across regional Australia. You will drive safety, environmental and compliance performance, implementing UGL's HSE Management System and leading high-risk activities in remote locations.

In this role you will develop and review management plans, risk registers and contractor management processes, conduct audits and investigations, and support emergency preparedness across project

Qualifications

• Diploma in WHS and at least 5 years' experience in a high-risk industry.
• Strong technical capability across HSE systems, compliance, risk management and contractor assurance.
• Experience supporting remote or geographically dispersed workforces, including emergency planning and response for isolated sites.
• Experience managing environmental risks and controls across construction, infrastructure or telecommunications projects.
• Sound knowledge of WHS legislation and high-risk construction activities, supported by strong stakeholder engagement and influencing skills.

Job description

UGL is seeking an experienced and technically capable HSE Advisor to support major telecommunications infrastructure projects. Working across telecommunications shelter construction, wireless infrastructure and associated civil works, you will provide expert HSE guidance to project teams while driving continuous improvement in safety, environmental and compliance performance. A key focus of this role is supporting project teams operating in regional and remote locations, ensuring robust environmental controls, effective emergency preparedness and safe execution of high-risk activities. Sydney is the preferred location for this position, with regular travel to regional and remote project sites across Australia.
