Job summary

Zenergy Group in Sydney's Western Suburbs NSW is seeking a hands-on HSE Advisor to lead health, safety and environmental performance at their manufacturing site. You’ll spend significant time on the shop floor, partnering with production and maintenance teams to manage high-risk work and foster a strong safety culture.

The role focuses on maintaining the HSE management system, conducting risk assessments, investigations, and training, with a clear path to influence from shop floor to senior

Qualifications

• 3+ years in an HSE advisory role in manufacturing or heavy industry.
• 6+ years working within HSE as a whole.
• Diploma of WHS (or Cert IV with strong experience).
• Sound knowledge of NSW WHS legislation and high-risk plant environments.
• Proven incident investigation skills.
• Confident communicator who can influence from shop floor to senior leaders.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and improve the HSE management system, procedures and SWMS, aligned to NSW WHS legislation and ISO 45001 / 14001
• Lead risk assessments for plant, machinery, guarding, traffic management and change
• Manage permit-to-work, LOTO / isolation, hazardous chemicals and contractor safety
• Investigate incidents, drive corrective actions and manage SafeWork NSW / EPA notifications
• Coordinate injury management and return to work
• Conduct inspections and audits; deliver inductions, toolbox talks and training
• Support the WHS Committee and HSRs, and coach supervisors to own safety
• Report monthly on HSE performance and environmental compliance
