Job summary

EnerMech is seeking a Senior QHSE Specialist to provide specialist guidance across EnerMech staff, reporting to the National QHSE Manager. Based on a major shutdown project in Onslow, WA, July to November, you will help drive safety and quality.

You will develop and roll out safety initiatives, ensure compliance with ISO, AS/NZ and NATA, and support workshop environments. The role requires 5+ years in HSE and a tertiary qualification, with Australian working rights.

Qualifications

• 5+ years experience in a HSE role within oil & gas.
• Tertiary qualification in HSE field.
• Further qualifications relating to mining, oil & gas, power, chemicals industries advantageous.
• Proven background in development of HSE policies and procedures.
• Good understanding of ISO, AS/NZ and NATA requirements.
• Knowledge of mechanical processes and workshop environments.
• Full Australian Working Rights.
• Experience in computer-based management systems.

Responsibilities

The Role

Working closely with the members of the QHSE team and reporting directly to the National QHSE Manager, you will be responsible for providing specialist QHSE guidance to all EnerMech staff. You will assist in the development and rollout of safety initiatives and ensure continual compliance with EnerMech's HSE visions. The role will cover a major shuts project in Onslow, Western Australia from July through to November.

Requirements

• 5+ years' experience in a HSE role within the oil & gas industry
• Tertiary qualified in HSE field
• Further qualifications relating to experience in construction, commissioning and operations in the Mining, Oil & Gas, Power, Chemicals and related industries
• A proven background in the development of HSE policies and procedures
• Good understanding of HSE legislation and requirements
• Good understanding of ISO, AS/NZ and NATA requirements
• Knowledge of mechanical processes
• Experience in workshop environments
• Computer management systems experience
• Have worked in a team environment
• Have full Australian Working Rights

Preferred

• 5+ years relevant experience or approved equivalent
• Certificate IV OHS
• Good understanding of ISO 9001 Quality Management System requirements ie Demystifying 9001 Quality Management
• ISO 9001 Lead Auditor qualification and Trained Quality Internal Auditor
• Good understanding of ISO 14001 Environmental Management System
• Good understanding of ISO 18001 Occupational Health and Safety
• Good understanding of AS/NZ 4801 Occupational Health and Safety
