Job summary

K&S Corporation is seeking a Safety, Health & Environment professional to advance the Everybody Safe Everyday culture across Western Australia. You will promote safe behaviours, coach leaders, and support the HS&E management system in a dynamic, multi-site environment.

Regular travel to WA sites is required; you will contribute to risk assessments, investigations and continuous improvement while collaborating with HS&E colleagues to ensure compliance with WHS legislation and safety standards.

Qualifications

• Minimum Certificate IV in Work Health & Safety (or higher).
• Full valid driver’s licence; must travel to WA sites.
• Desirable: Training & Assessment certs (TAA), Lead Auditor/Investigator.
• Experience in HS&E within Transport, Warehousing or Logistics.
• Strong relationship-building, communication and organisational skills.

Responsibilities

• Promote and champion HS&E behaviours in the culture.
• Coaching, mentoring and advising on incident and hazard reporting and investigations.
• Maintain the K&S management system and support stakeholders with HS&E obligations.
• Undertake risk assessments including Chain of Responsibility and develop practical risk minimisation strategies.
• Collaborate with HS&E professionals on initiatives and audits.
• Conduct system and workplace audits.
• Travel regularly to WA sites to perform audits and provide expert HS&E guidance.

TheOpportunity

Reporting to the National HS&E Managerbased in Victoria, you will play a crucial role in advancing K&S’scommitment to our Everybody Safe Everyday culture, ensuring that ourworkers and visitors are made aware of their HS&E responsibilities withinan active operational environment. We are looking for someone who thrives whenworking alongside & collaborating with operational leaders to help foster astrong safety culture!

What you’ll be doing:

• Actively promote and champion positive HS&E behaviours whilst living and breathing K&S’s culture of Everybody Safe Everyday.
• Undertake regular safety monitoring activities, providing coaching, mentoring and advice on all HS&E matters including incident and hazard reporting and investigations.
• Support the maintenance and application of the K&S management system whilst supporting operational stakeholders with their respective HS&E obligations.
• Undertake a broad range of risk assessments, including on Chain of Responsibility, whilst supporting and assisting operational stakeholders with the development of practical risk minimisation strategies.
• Collaborate with a network of HS&E Professionals within K&S on company initiatives and best practice organisational performance activities.
• Conduct system and workplace audits.
• Regular travel to multiple WA sites, including High Wycombe, Maddington, Naval Base and Dardanup, where you will perform workplace safety audits, perform competency assessment and provide expert Health & Safety guidance to the respective stakeholders.

What you’ll bring:

• Wewill be impressed by candidates who have a minimum Certificate IV in WorkHealth & Safety (or higher), plus:
• A full and valid driver’s licence is required – this position has a requirement to travel to various K&S sites and locations.
• Certificate IV in Training and Assessment, Lead Auditor (Occupational Health and Safety), Lead Investigator (ICAM or similar) training is desirable, however, not mandatory.
• Experience working within a HS&E-related capacity within the Transport, Warehousing and Logistics (or other high-risk industry) is preferred, including experience working within an established HS&E management system.
• Strong relationship-building, communication, and organizational skills.
• Demonstrated understanding of working with relevant WHS legislation (Acts, Regulations and Codes), with knowledge of Heavy Vehicle National Law and Chain of Responsibility advantageous.
