Job summary

Greystones Recruitment is seeking an experienced HR Truck Driver for a permanent role servicing Melbourne, Albury-Wodonga and the North East Victorian region. You will handle pickups and deliveries, load and unload freight, and engage with customers to ensure reliable service.

The position offers consistent hours, a Monday–Friday roster with optional Saturday work and an attractive hourly rate with super. Commitment to safety, punctuality and a flexible approach to regional driving is essential.

Qualifications

• Current HR Driver Licence.
• Heavy vehicle driving experience.
• Good driving record and safety awareness.
• Ability and willingness to load/unload freight.
• Reliable, punctual with clear communication.
• Forklift licence highly regarded but not essential.

Responsibilities

We are seeking an experienced HR Truck Driver for a permanent position servicing Melbourne, Albury-Wodonga and the wider North East Victorian region.

This is a great opportunity for a reliable driver looking for consistent hours, excellent earning potential and secure permanent employment.

This isn't a role where you simply sit behind the wheel.

You'll be dealing directly with customers, completing pickups and deliveries and getting out of the truck to assist with loading and unloading a variety of freight including winery products, steel and building materials, agricultural products and general goods.

HR Truck Driver – Permanent | $40/hr + Super | Paid Breaks

The Roster

Monday, Wednesday & Friday – Melbourne Runs

Generally starting around 4.00am, these are approximately 14-hour days involving deliveries and collections between North East Victoria and Melbourne.

Tuesday & Thursday – Local Runs

Generally starting around 6.00am, with approximately 10-hour days completing deliveries throughout areas including Albury, Wodonga, Beechworth, Wangaratta and surrounding regions.

Saturday work is also available

generally from approximately 6.00am–12.00 noon, with applicable overtime/penalty arrangements.

What We're Looking For

You will need:

• Current HR Driver Licence
• Heavy vehicle driving experience
• Good driving record
• Strong safety awareness
• Ability and willingness to load and unload freight
• Good physical fitness – you must be happy to get out of the truck and move stock
• Reliability and punctuality
• Good communication and customer service skills
• Ability to manage early morning starts

A Forklift Licence is highly regarded but not essential.

Previous experience with multi-drop deliveries, steel, building materials, agricultural products or similar freight would also be advantageous.
