Cochrane’s Transport is a proudly independent and family-owned freight company with a strong regional footprint in South Australia. We seek an HR Truck Driver to operate a heavy rigid truck from our Gillman facility, delivering goods to metropolitan and regional sites while maintaining safety and compliance.

The role is permanent full-time, with varying start times to meet customer needs. You will load, unload, and transport freight, handle RF scanning and interact with customers professionally.

Qualifications

• Current HR License (Heavy Rigid) – essential.
• Multi-Drop delivery experience – desirable.
• Forklift license – desirable.
• Excellent driver with excellent driving records.
• Physically fit and passionate about what you do.
• Ability to work independently and follow schedules.
• Competency with use of modern equipment (Touch screens/scanners).
• Able to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Experienced in the transport industry, adaptable and reliable.
• Good communication and customer service skills.
• Commitment to safety and compliance.

About the position:

We are seeking a skilled HR Truck Driver to join our team based out of our purpose-built modern facility in Gillman. In this role, you will be responsible for safely operating a heavy rigid (HR) truck, transporting goods to various destinations while adhering to all road safety regulations.

You will ensure timely and efficient delivery of goods, maintain accurate records, and perform regular vehicle inspections to ensure safety and operational efficiency.
