Cochrane’s Transport is seeking a skilled HR Truck Driver to operate a heavy rigid truck from our Gillman facility. You will ensure timely deliveries, complete accurate records, and perform regular vehicle inspections to uphold safety and efficiency.

The role runs Monday to Friday with varying start times. We offer above‑award wages, a 13.5% superannuation contribution, well‑maintained facilities, overtime opportunities, and career development within a growing family‑owned company.

Qualificações

• HR license (Heavy Rigid) required.
• Multi-drop delivery experience preferred.
• Forklift license preferred.
• Clean driving record required.
• Physically fit and safety‑conscious.
• Able to work independently and follow schedules.
• Competent with touch screen scanners and modern equipment.

Responsabilidades

• Loading, unloading and transporting freight.
• Sorting freight into correct delivery runs.
• Interacting with customers during deliveries and pickups with professional service.
• RF scanning of goods during transit.

About the position:

We are seeking a skilled HR Truck Driver to join our team based out of our purpose-built modern facility in Gillman. In this role, you will be responsible for safely operating a heavy rigid (HR) truck, transporting goods to various destinations while adhering to all road safety regulations.

You will ensure timely and efficient delivery of goods, maintain accurate records, and perform regular vehicle inspections to ensure safety and operational efficiency. This role is permanent full time- Monday to Friday. Shift start times may vary depending on the requirements of our valued customers.

What will you be doing:

• Loading, unloading and transporting freight
• Sorting freight into correct delivery runs
• Interacting with our customers during deliveries and pickups, whilst maintaining a professional customer service standard
• RF scanning

About you:

• Current HR License (Heavy Rigid) – essential
• Multi-Drop delivery experience (desirable, not mandatory)
• Forklift license (desirable, not mandatory)
• Excellent driver with excellent driving records.
• Physically fit and passionate about what they do
• Ability to work independently and follow schedules
• Competency with use of modern equipment (Touch screens/scanners)
• Able to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Experienced in the transport industry, adaptable and reliable.
• Good communication and customer service skills
• Commitment to safety and compliance
