What you’ll be doing

  • Supporting national HR processes, programs and projects, including Health and Wellbeing, Reconciliation Action Plan, and Diversity and Inclusion initiatives
  • Maintaining HR policies and procedures and assisting employees and managers with policy-related enquiries
  • Providing employee relations support, including assistance with legislation, Awards and Enterprise Agreement interpretation

  • Preparing accurate and timely People, Learning and Development, and Industrial Relations reports.
  • Supporting performance, talent and succession processes through administration, correspondence and reporting
  • Assisting with annual remuneration reviews and bonus activities

  • Coordinating activities associated with the Corporate Engagement Survey
  • Maintaining HR systems and records across multiple systems
  • Administering employee programs, including the Castor employee share program, Purchased Leave program and annual employee awards
  • Managing the HR mailbox in collaboration with the National HR team
  • Contributing to projects that improve HR services and the employee experience across Seymour Whyte.

About you

You will bring some HR experience and enjoy working in a busy, collaborative environment where accuracy, discretion and responsive support are important. Experience within the construction industry is also highly regarded but not essential.

You will also have:

  • Qualifications in Human Resources Management or a related discipline, or a willingness to work towards a relevant qualification
  • Strong relationship-building skills and the ability to work effectively with project and corporate teams
  • Excellent organisation and time-management skills
  • The ability to handle sensitive and confidential information professionally
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail
  • Experience using HR information systems, ideally including PageUp, Culture Amp and ReadyHR (UKG)
  • A current driver’s licence.

Seymour Whyte benefits:

  • Employee recognition and awards that acknowledge contribution and achievement.
  • An employee share program, providing the opportunity to invest in the long‑term success of the business.
