Job description

The Organisation

Levyl is partnering with an established, privately owned Australian organisation to appoint a People & Culture Business Partner.

With a diverse portfolio of businesses and an evolving people agenda, the organisation is focused on strengthening learning and development, improving the employee experience and continuing to modernise its ways of working. It offers a collaborative and fast-moving environment where relationships matter, ideas are welcomed and the People & Culture team has genuine scope to influence business outcomes.

This is an opportunity to join a values-led organisation with a strong history, clear ambitions for the future and an appetite to continue improving its people practices, systems and frameworks.

The Team

Reporting to an established and collaborative People & Culture Manager, you will work closely with an experienced and collaborative leader who is focused on delivering a practical, progressive and commercially aligned people function.

You will operate as a trusted partner across the business, taking ownership of day-to-day people matters while contributing to broader culture, capability and transformation initiatives. The relationship will offer support and guidance, alongside the autonomy to manage your portfolio, influence leaders and identify better ways of working.

The Opportunity

As the People & Culture Business Partner, you will deliver proactive, practical and employee experience-focused solutions across a diverse stakeholder group.

You will partner with leaders and employees across the full employee lifecycle, balancing hands-on operational delivery with broader organisational priorities. You will coach leaders, manage employee relations matters and contribute to initiatives spanning culture, workforce planning, capability, change and continuous improvement.

  • Partnering with leaders and employees on operational people matters, including employee relations, performance, engagement, policies and processes
  • Providing practical and commercially considered advice across performance management, misconduct, grievances and workplace investigations
  • Coaching leaders to strengthen their capability across communication, feedback, performance and employee engagement
  • Supporting organisational change, business transformation and the implementation of new ways of working
  • Driving employee engagement, workplace wellbeing, inclusion and cultural initiatives
  • Supporting recruitment, onboarding, workforce planning and succession activities
  • Contributing to performance, talent review and leadership development programs
  • Identifying capability gaps and facilitating relevant learning and development initiatives
  • Using people data, workforce trends and insights to inform decision-making
  • Improving P&C systems, processes and frameworks to create a more streamlined employee experience
  • Supporting reporting, governance, audit and workplace compliance requirements
About You

A practical approach to problem-solving, strong stakeholder management skills and the ability to adapt to different individuals and situations will be key. Credibility will come through thoughtful advice, sound judgement and a willingness to take ownership.

This opportunity will appeal to someone who enjoys working within an evolving organisation and contributing ideas that improve existing practices. Experience supporting organisational change, leadership development, HR systems or cultural initiatives will be highly regarded.
