Job summary

Robert Half Australia is seeking an experienced HR Business Partner to support workplace relations, employee relations, policy interpretation and HR projects on a temporary basis.

The role is a 2-month assignment commencing ASAP, 100% office-based in Melbourne, with preference for full-time hours though part-time will be considered.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as HR Business Partner or Senior HR Advisor handling Australian employment legislation and industrial relations.
• Experience in Education or a similar industry is desirable.
• Advanced Excel skills for HR reporting and data analysis.
• Current Working with Children Check or ability to obtain one.

Responsibilities

• Provide advice across workplace and industrial relations matters.
• Manage employee relations issues including complaints and conflict resolution.
• Support policy interpretation and leave entitlement queries for leaders.
• Assist with casual workforce projects and employment framework initiatives.
• Prepare HR reports and analyse workforce data using Excel.
• Support Enterprise Agreement initiatives through research and administration.

The Company

Our client is a well-established independent education provider. Due to an increase in project work and workplace relations initiatives, they are seeking an experienced HR Business Partner to join the team on a temporary basis.

The Role

With direction from the Head of HR, you will provide support across workplace relations, employee relations, policy interpretation and HR projects. This is a hands-on role suited to an experienced HR professional who enjoys partnering with leaders, solving complex people matters and improving HR processes.

This is a temporary assignment commencing ASAP for an initial 2-month period. The role is 100% office-based, Monday to Friday, with full-time hours preferred, although part-time applicants will also be considered.

Duties

• Provide advice and guidance across workplace and industrial relations matters
• Manage employee relations issues, including complaints and conflict resolution
• Support leaders with policy interpretation and leave entitlement queries
• Assist with projects relating to casual workforce arrangements and employment frameworks
• Prepare HR reports and analyse workforce data using Microsoft Excel
• Support Enterprise Agreement initiatives through research, reporting and administration

Your Profile

• Previous experience as an HR Business Partner or Senior HR Advisor handling Australian employment legislation and industrial relations - essential
• Previous experience in Education or a similar industry - desirable
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills with experience producing HR reports and workforce data analysis
• Current Working with Children Check (or ability to obtain one)
