Overview

We are seeking two (2) HR Advisors to join Human Resources, People Services, Administrative Division. In the position of HR Advisor, you are part of the HR Assist team, which delivers an exceptional human resources service and enquiry management experience to the University. You provide interpretation of QUT policies, procedures and information, and assist in identifying opportunities to continuously improve team performance to meet client needs. This position reports to the Manager, HR Assist for career planning, development, and performance expectations. This role is offered as a hybrid position as part of QUT’s commitment to a more virtual and connected environment.

Responsibilities
  • Deliver an exceptional HR service and enquiry management experience to University staff.
  • Interpret policies, guidelines and related documents and provide accurate information and advice.
  • Identify opportunities to improve team performance and service delivery to meet current and future client needs.
  • Support career planning, development, and performance expectations under supervision of the Manager, HR Assist.
What You Need To Succeed
  • Education, training and/or relevant experience equivalent to a degree in Human Resources or related field.
  • Demonstrated experience in a human resources generalist role and the ability to interpret and advise on policies and guidelines.
  • Strong customer service history with attention to detail and issue resolution.
  • High level of digital literacy with ability to use multiple systems to access and input data accurately.
  • Excellent interpersonal and written communication skills with the ability to work independently and as part of a team, and to prioritise workloads to meet deadlines.

Remuneration and Conditions
  • Salary range: $79,514 to $89,685 per annum (HEW5) plus 17% superannuation and 17.5% recreation leave loading.
  • Total remuneration range: $94,099 to $106,134 per annum inclusive of the base salary and loading.
  • Location: Kelvin Grove (hybrid option available).
  • Term: Fixed-term, full-time basis (one position until 31 December 2025 and one until 9 February 2026).
