Job description

Add expected salary to your profile for insights

You’re the person who knows that “soft skills” are anything but soft.
You’ve got a radar for people, a memory for policies, and a knack for balancing empathy with accountability.
You're not just across the details, you're five steps ahead of them.
You’re a bit of a stickler for the rules, but you know how to have fun and, more than anything, you love organising it.

You see culture as more than shared lunches and Friday drinks. You know it’s built in the day-to-day.
You’ve got a sixth sense for when something’s feeling off, and a natural ability to bring clarity, connection, and calm when it’s needed most.
You know HR is about more than compliance, it’s about creating places people actually want to work.
You’re the person people trust to give it to them straight. With kindness, of course.

Occupational Therapy for Children are looking for a HR Advisor to join our growing team in a newly created role.

What you’ll do:

Partner with managers on recruitment, onboarding, and team growth

Guide leaders and staff through performance management, employee relations, and workplace support

Support the employee lifecycle from contracts to career development

Keep our policies sharp, compliant, and meaningful

Roll out people initiatives that actually resonate, not just tick boxes

Maintain HR systems and records that are clean, clear, and audit-proof

You’re a match if you have:

Experience in a generalist HR or advisory role

Knowledge of Australian employment law and the Fair Work framework

Excellent interpersonal and stakeholder management skills

A calm, solutions-focused mindset

Exposure to HRIS platforms (such as ELMO, Employment Hero, and CultureAmp)

Relevant tertiary qualifications in HR, Business, or related field

AHRI membership (highly regarded but not essential)

Love to learn, play, and connect!
