Weir Minerals Australia Limited is seeking two site-based Maintenance Technicians for Port Hedland to support the Iron Bridge Magnetite Project. The role focuses on refurbishment of our HPGR equipment and requires commitment to safety and quality service.

Roles include site installation, repair maintenance, and collaboration with HPGR technicians. FIFO from Perth or residential arrangements apply, with opportunities for skill development and career growth in a global engineering leader.

Qualifications

• Certificate III in Mechanical Engineering, Fitting, Boiler making or another relatable trade.
• Advantageous to have HPGR experience.
• Dogging and Rigging Tickets with relevant industry experience.
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.

Responsibilities

• Work with HPGR technicians to grow the HPGR business unit.
• Manage all site installation, repair maintenance and testing as per scopes of work.
• Contribute to continuous improvement in daily activities.
• Ensure customer needs are prioritized and meet service levels.
• Assist in strategic planning of site service and installations.
• Provide technical advice to Site Service Supervisor for service and components.
• Attend training to develop knowledge and skills.
• Show flexibility under urgent or breakdown conditions to service customer requirements.
