Job summary

The Islamic College of Brisbane invites applications for a Faculty Leader – Health & Physical Education (HPE) to guide curriculum design and assessment for Years 7–12, in collaboration with the Chief Learning Officer and Heads of Secondary School. This leadership role combines strategic planning with classroom teaching.

You will shape data-driven practices, ensure alignment with the Australian Curriculum and QCAA frameworks, and support staff development within a values-based, Islamic ethos.

Qualifications

• Tertiary qualification in Education and current registration with the Queensland College of Teachers (QCT).
• Demonstrated experience in HPE curriculum leadership and teaching across Years 7–12.
• Strong understanding of the Australian Curriculum and QCAA frameworks.
• Proven ability to inspire, mentor, and support staff.
• Excellent communication and organisational skills.
• Commitment to Islamic values and the mission of the College.

Responsibilities

• Lead planning, documentation, and implementation of high-quality, data-driven HPE curriculum across Years 7–12.
• Ensure alignment with ICB’s academic standards and Islamic ethos.
• Collaborate with the Chief Learning Officer and Heads of Secondary School.
• Balance leadership with classroom teaching duties.
