Job summary

Comfort Inn Western in Warrnambool, VIC is seeking an experienced Housekeeping Supervisor to lead our housekeeping team, coordinate daily cleaning operations and maintain high cleanliness and safety standards for guest rooms and public areas.

You will schedule staff, train helpers, liaise with maintenance and front office, monitor labor costs, and ensure timely check-ins. AQF Certificate III/IV and hospitality experience are required.

Our Client PRIME HOTELS GROUP PTY LTD T/A COMFORT INN WESTERN is seeking an experienced Housekeeping Supervisor to join their team located in Warrnambool VIC 3280. This role involves supervising housekeeping staff, coordinating cleaning operations, and maintaining cleanliness and safety standards.

Tasks required include:

• Supervising and checking the daily work of housekeeping staff.
• Ensuring staff meet daily cleaning targets and rooms are ready on time for new guests.
• Inspecting rooms to ensure cleanliness and quality standards are maintained.
• Releasing clean rooms for guest check-ins.
• Handling guest enquiries, requests, and complaints professionally.
• Monitoring the proper disposal of laundry and waste.
• Overseeing the cleaning of guest rooms and public areas.
• Assigning rooms and duties to housekeeping staff.
• Ensuring guest requests and special cleaning needs are attended to promptly.
• Providing training and support to housekeeping staff when required.
• Preparing staff schedules to meet operational requirements.
• Coordinating with maintenance and front office teams to ensure smooth operations.
• Ensuring compliance with workplace health, safety, and manual handling procedures.
• Managing staff rosters and monitoring labor costs within budget.

Qualification and Experience

Relevant hospitality experience and AQF Certificate III or IV
