Job summary

Crystalbrook Kingsley in Newcastle is seeking a Housekeeping Supervisor to lead our guest-ready rooms team. This full-time role reports to the Executive Housekeeper and drives service standards across the hotel’s 130 rooms and public areas.

You will supervise daily operations, manage rosters, mentor staff and champion our guest experience, safety and sustainability initiatives while collaborating with other departments.

Qualifications

• Proven supervisory experience in housekeeping operations within a hotel.
• Strong leadership and ability to motivate teams.
• Experience developing staff through onboarding and training.
• Excellent communication and guest service focus.
• Attention to detail and organised, with time management skills.
• Capable of making decisions under pressure and working fixed shifts.

Responsibilities

• Supervise the Housekeeping team to ensure effective systems and procedures.
• Monitor rosters, attendance and productivity of the team.
• Empower individuals to develop and maintain good practices.
• Drive guest satisfaction by delivering service beyond expectations.
• Provide hands-on supervisory leadership across areas.
• Ensure WHS processes and procedures compliance.
• Collaborate with other departments for smooth service transitions.

Role Purpose

We are looking for a Housekeeping Supervisor with a keen eye for detail and a passion for operational hotel leadership to join our team. This is a full time position and reports to our Executive Housekeeper.

Responsibilities

• Supervise the Housekeeping team to ensure effective systems and operational procedures including daily checklists are actioned
• Monitor rosters, attendance and productivity of the team
• Empower individuals to ensure good practices are developed and maintained
• Drive Rooms guest satisfaction by empowering our teams to provide service beyond our guests expectations
• Deliver hands-on supervisory leadership across your areas
• compliance with WHS processes and procedures
• Collaborate closely with other departments to ensure smooth transition of services
• Assist in on-the-job department and staff training
• Promote the company health and well-being processes and procedures

Skills And Experience

• Proven experience in a Supervisory role in housekeeping operations in the hotel industry
• Strong leadership skills and a natural flair in motivating others
• A passion for developing your team skills in all aspects of onboarding and training
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills together with our guest service focus
• Your attention to detail is second to none
• Good organisational and time management skills
• Ability to work and make decisions under pressure
• The ability to work across a full time schedule
