Healthscope Hospitals is seeking a casual Housekeeping Cleaner for The Victoria Clinic, a 115-bed private psychiatric facility in Prahran, Melbourne. The role focuses on maintaining high cleanliness standards and patient satisfaction in a fast-paced hospital setting.

Applicants with hospital cleaning experience are preferred. You will operate across a 7-day roster, including on-call and weekend work, to support infection control and service excellence.

• Ensure compliance with immunisation and safety requirements for healthcare workers
• Work across shifts Monday–Sunday (casual) and across multiple sites if required
• Able to work independently and collaboratively within a team
• Basic computer tasks related to shift management and records

About the role:

The Victoria Clinic is seeking an experienced Housekeeping Cleaner to join the team on a casual basis. The shift times are flexible to work a variety of shifts Monday – Sunday.

You will take pride in your work, have a friendly and positive work attitude and achieve high standards of cleanliness and customer satisfaction, in this faced paced and varied environment.

As this role will be responsible for ensuring the highest cleaning standards across the hospital, it would be beneficial if you have had some previous experience working within a hospital and understand the cleaning nuances of working within this unique environment.

The Victoria Clinic is currently a 115 patient-bed private psychiatric facility located on Malvern Road in Prahran.

This architecturally designed, purpose-built mental health facility specialises in the provision of high-quality inpatient mental health services.

As a Housekeeping Cleaner, your responsibilities will include:

• Provide high standard of cleaning services
• Operate in line with infection control standards and WHS policy & procedures
• Deliver excellent customer service to staff, clients and patients
• Have demonstrated ongoing commitment to professional development
• Authority to Work in Australia
• Experience in Healthcare/hotel cleaning (desirable)
• Commitment to service excellence.
• Proven time management skills and ability to manage priorities
• Strong communication and customer skills
• Work well independently and within a team
• Available for shifts over a 7-day roster including Oncall and weekend work
• Basic computer shifts

Applicants will be required to provide a current National Police check, WWCC (where applicable) and Evidence of right to work in Australia prior to appointment.
