Job summary

Andecon Investments Pty Ltd is seeking a reliable casual housekeeper to join a small North Melbourne team. Shifts run from 9am to 1pm, with 12–20 hours weekly across seven days, including some weekends and public holidays.

Responsibilities include cleaning after checkout, daily servicing of guest apartments, and restocking supplies. You will work independently to maintain consistent standards, with training provided.

Qualifications

• Reliable and punctual with an eye for detail.
• Able to work independently and finish apartments on time.
• Physically capable of lifting, bending and stairs.
• Friendly and discreet with guests.
• Housekeeping experience in hotel/motel or serviced apartments is preferred but training is provided.
• You have the right to work in Australia.

Job description

We are looking for a reliable casual housekeeper to join our small team. Shifts run from 9am to 1pm, with 12 to 20 hours available each week (three to five shifts). We operate seven days a week, so some weekend and public holiday availability is required.

Key responsibilities

Cleaning apartments after guests check out so they are ready for the next guest (making beds, vacuuming, disinfecting, replacing amenities and general cleaning)

Daily servicing of staying guests' apartments

Full servicing of long-stay guests' apartments

Cleaning common areas

Restocking and tidying the supply room

Taking out and bringing in bins

Minor maintenance tasks

Occasionally assisting with other reasonable tasks, such as assisting a team member or attending to a guest

About you

Reliable and punctual, with an eye for detail

Able to work on your own and finish apartments to a consistent standard in the time available

Physically fit for the work, which involves lifting, bending and stairs

Friendly and discreet with guests

Housekeeping or cleaning experience in a hotel, motel or serviced apartments is preferred but not essential, and training is provided

About us

We are a small, independently run apartment hotel in North Melbourne. We have 19 self-contained studio, one-bedroom and two-bedroom apartments. Many of our guests are families staying close to the hospital, so a clean, comfortable apartment matters to them.
