Job description

We are seeking an experienced Housekeeper or Hospitality professional to join our team at Ballina Manor Boutique Hotel in Ballina, NSW. This is a flexible casual role that offers a variety of shifts including housekeeping shifts, breakfast shifts (no cooking required). Weekly hours will vary between 10-15 hours with additional hours available during busy periods.

The ideal candidate will have a keen eye for detail and the ability to work efficiently to ensure our guests have a comfortable and enjoyable stay.

HK responsibilities include:

• Making beds, changing linens, vacuuming and cleaning carpets and rugs
• Cleaning and sanitising toilets, showers/bathtubs, countertops, and sinks
• Maintaining cleanliness throughout the hotel
• Sweeping/vacuuming, polishing, and mopping hard floors
• Sorting, washing, loading, and unloading laundry
• Keeping bathrooms stocked with clean linens, toiletries, and other supplies
• Monitoring cleaning supplies and reporting any necessary repairs or replacements to Management

Breakfast set up responsibilities include:

• Set up of continental breakfast buffet (no cooking required)
• Welcoming guests and clearing plates
• Refilling items throughout breakfast service
• Pack down and safe storing of food items
• Basic hygiene and food handling skills is desirable, but not essential

What we are looking for

• Previous experience as a Housekeeper or in a similar role within the hospitality industry
• Minimum 1+ years of housekeeping or hospitality experience required
• Strong attention to detail and the ability to maintain high standards of cleanliness
• Good time management skills and the ability to work efficiently under pressure
• A friendly and customer-service oriented attitude
• Physical fitness and the ability to stand, walk, and lift throughout the day
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work well as part of a team
• Legal eligibility to work in Australia is required
