Job summary

AMPM Support Services seeks a proactive House Manager/Team Leader to oversee a residential house, ensuring safe, person-centred care and adherence to NDIS standards.

You will coach support staff, manage incidents, and coordinate with families and departments to deliver high-quality services while maintaining compliance and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

  • Cert IV in Disability or Diploma in Community Services required.
  • Minimum 3–5 years of demonstrated leadership and management experience in disability, community care, or similar.
  • Working With Children Check
  • National Police Clearance
  • NDIS Worker Screening (or ability to obtain)
  • Current First Aid & CPR
  • WA Driver’s Licence and access to a reliable insured vehicle

Responsibilities

  • Lead the day-to-day operations of the residential house, ensuring safe, efficient, compliant service delivery.
  • Promote safety by supporting medication management, infection control, risk management, and escalation processes.
  • Maintain effective communication with participants, families, Department of Communities, and other stakeholders.
  • Supervise, coach, and support workers to maintain high performance, compliance, and a positive team culture.
  • Ensure accurate documentation, incident reporting, and compliance with WHS and organisational policies and procedures.
  • Ensure participant care is person-centred and aligns with individual support plans and NDIS Practice Standards.
  • Foster a safe, respectful, and inclusive home environment that promotes wellbeing, independence, and dignity.
  • Drive continuous improvement by identifying opportunities to enhance service quality, operational efficiency, and team capability

About the Role:

The House Manager/Team Leader is responsible for the operational leadership and day-to-day management of a residential house. This pivotal role involves providing expert field supervision, coaching, and mentorship to support workers to ensure the delivery of exceptional, timely, and person-centred support. The core focus is maintaining the safety and well-being of participants, ensuring strict compliance with NDIS standards, documentation, and incident management to achieve optimal outcomes for all stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead the day-to-day operations of the house, ensuring safe, efficient, and compliant service delivery.

About You:

You are a proactive and compassionate leader with experience in the disability, community services. You are committed to delivering person-centred support, leading teams with integrity, and maintaining high standards of quality, safety, and compliance.

You have strong communication, organisational, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to supervise staff, build positive stakeholder relationships, and manage competing priorities. You are confident in making operational decisions, promoting a positive team culture, and driving continuous improvement to achieve the best outcomes for participants and the organisation.

Cert IV in Disability/Diploma in Community Services

Minimum of 3–5 years of demonstrated leadership and management experience in disability, community care, or similar service environment.

Working With Children Check

National Police Clearance

NDIS Worker Screening (or ability to obtain)

Current First Aid & CPR

Valid WA Driver’s Licence and access to a reliable insured vehicle

Highly Regarded

Experience in NDIS, disability, SIL or community-based services

Confidence using systems such as ShiftCare, SharePoint or MS Office

Experience supervising or leading support teams
