Job summary

Oaks Sunshine Coast Oasis Resort, part of Minor Hotels, is seeking a dedicated Maintenance Officer on a casual basis to join our Maintenance team on the Sunshine Coast. You will ensure presentation, functionality and safety of guest rooms, public areas and facilities.

Key duties include repairs, preventative maintenance, inspections, contractor supervision, and keeping accurate records. The role offers weekday roster with some weekend work and after-hours callouts, with hourly rates outlined.

Qualifications

• Hands-on maintenance experience in property or hotel settings.
• Trade qualification in carpentry, electrical, plumbing, painting or similar.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Experience supporting or implementing preventative maintenance programs.

Responsibilities

• Undertake general property repairs and maintenance.
• Assist in executing the preventative maintenance program.
• Conduct regular inspections of guest rooms, public areas and back-of-house areas.
• Provide induction and supervision of external contractors as required.
• Maintain accurate daily work records and service schedules.
• Support the Maintenance Manager in managing contractor works and maintenance projects.
