Job summary

Westin Hotels & Resorts in Melbourne is seeking a maintenance technician to respond to guest repair requests and perform preventive maintenance across hotel assets. You will inspect, diagnose, and repair plumbing, electrical, and mechanical systems, while ensuring safe and compliant operations.

The role requires basic computer skills, a valid driver’s license, and the ability to work across shifts, including stairs and confined spaces. Prior hotel maintenance experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Some experience in general maintenance, exterior and interior surface preparation and painting.
• Hotel engineering or maintenance experience is a plus.
• Driver's License is required.

Responsibilities

• Respond and attend to guest repair requests.
• Communicate with guests to resolve maintenance issues.
• Perform preventive maintenance on tools and equipment including cleaning and lubrication.
• Inspect and operate building shut-offs and basic systems.
• Test and repair plumbing, electrical components, and lighting as needed.
