Ace Hotel Sydney is seeking a reliable Handyperson to support day-to-day maintenance of our 5-star hotel in Surry Hills, Sydney. This part-time role focuses on plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and system upkeep to ensure guest comfort.

You will respond to maintenance requests, perform regular inspections, and keep work areas safe and clean. On-shift training is provided; 24 hours weekly, ideal for students seeking hands-on learning in a vibrant hotel environment.

• Previous experience as a handyperson is preferred however not essential as on-shift training can be provided.
• Have a basic knowledge of plumbing, electrical systems, and general repairs
• Good communication skills and a customer-focused attitude

Responsibilities

• Perform general maintenance tasks including plumbing, electrical, and carpentry work
• Assist in the repair and upkeep of hotel facilities and equipment
• Respond promptly to maintenance requests from staff and guests
• Conduct regular inspections of premises to identify and resolve issues
• Maintain a clean and safe working environment
• Support the team in ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations
• Assist in maintaining building systems.
