Job summary

Hyatt Centric Melbourne invites a welcoming Host to join Langlands Restaurant & Bar. You will manage the floor from the door, greet guests warmly, and work with the front-of-house team to ensure a smooth service flow on Level 25.

Qualifications

• A current Victorian RSA certificate.

• Enthusiastic and engaging attitude.

• Minimum 2 years of waiter experience.

Responsibilities

• Control the room from the door and support our floor team ensuring smooth workflow.
• Utilise your food and beverage knowledge to heighten the guest experience.
• Seat and greet guests playfully while sharing local knowledge.
• Open and close the space, including opening/closing TILS and reconciliation.
• Update table plans and allocate bookings promptly.
• Follow Occupation Health and Food Safety procedures and standards.

Host at Hyatt Centric Melbourne

As the Host you will be working in a Front of House team, you will support the Venue Manager by being the most engaging host who can control the floor from the door. You will be responsible for making sure guests feel welcomed, cared for and valued. Create a warm and welcoming environment for patrons from the moment they enter the hotel’s Level 25 Langlands Restaurant.

Some of the responsibilities include

• Control the room from the door and support our floor team maintaining a smooth workflow
• Utilise your food and beverage knowledge and service to heighten the guest’s overall experience
• Seat and greet playfully whilst enchanting the guests with your local knowledge
• Opening and closing of the space, inclusive of opening + closing TILS and reconciliation
• Update table plans and allocate bookings promptly
• Compile to Occupation Health and Food Safety procedures and standards

Qualifications

About you

• A current Victorian Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA) certificate
• Experience using a POS platform, specifically Infrasys POS
• Enthusiastic and engaging attitude
• Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively manage your time
• Sophisticated and clear communication skills
• The flexibility to work on a rotating roster, including weekends and public holidays
• Minimum 2 years of section waiter experience
