Mater Private Hospital Mackay is seeking a Hospitality Services Assistant in a casual position to support housekeeping, catering, linen and waste management, delivering a clean, safe, and welcoming environment. Qualifications

• Previous experience in a hospitality, housekeeping, or similar role.
• Experience working in a healthcare environment is desirable.
• Certificate II in Hospitality (or equivalent) is desirable.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Sound understanding of hygiene, safety, and infection control principles.
• Strong time management skills with the ability to prioritise tasks.
• Friendly communication style and ability to engage with a wide range of people.
• Commitment to Mater’s Mission, Values, and behavioural standards.

• Use equipment safely, report faults promptly, and apply risk management practices.
• Contribute to a safe, tidy, and welcoming hospital environment.
• Work collaboratively with the hospitality team to support patient and consumer satisfaction.

About the role

We are seeking a Hospitality Services Assistant to join our friendly team at Mater Private Hospital Mackay in a casual position

This role plays a vital part in supporting the day-to-day hospitality operations of the hospital, helping to create a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for patients, visitors, and staff. Salary Range: $32.83 - $35.39 per hour plus superannuation andaccess to not-for-profit salary packaging up to $15,900+access to many staff benefits!

What you’ll be doing

You will support the smooth operation of hospital hospitality services across multiple areas, including housekeeping, catering, linen, and waste management.

• Deliver high-quality housekeeping services in line with hospital policies and standards
