Job summary

Bupa Australia Coburg is seeking a friendly hospitality assistant to support our care home kitchen, cleaning and laundry services. You will help provide meals and snacks, maintain a clean dining and living environment, and respond to residents with empathy and respect.

Previous catering or cleaning experience is preferred but not essential. You will work as part of a team, eligible for a variety of shifts and a safe, inclusive workplace that values wellbeing and person-centred care.

Responsibilities

• Maintain WHS, quality and hygiene standards.
• Complete required documentation and reporting.
• Respond to residents’ queries and requests.
• Laundry duties include loading washers & dryers, sort linen, hang, fold, wrap or iron linen.
• Catering / food services duties include assisting with basic food prep, provide meals and snacks, clear dining areas and dishwashing.
• Cleaning duties include general cleaning; mopping, vacuuming, and waste collection in the residents’rooms, bathrooms, communal and living areas.

Location

Our Coburg home is a modern residency set in the heart of Melbourne, within a relaxed environment yet lively community. It consists of 75 beds, with various care units. Our primary goal is placing our focus on the health, lifestyle and well-being of our residents.

About the Role

To deliver effective support to the hospitality function within the care home, including catering, cleaning and laundry

Use your fantastic food services and cleaning skills in a role where you really can make a difference by providing our residents with an empathetic and personal approach.

About you

Previous catering / food service or cleaning experience preferred but not essential.

You will be a team player and someone who enjoys interacting with people and giving back to our most vulnerable.
