Qualifications

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Cleaning or catering experience preferred but not essential.
• Flexible availability for shifts across the week.
• Understanding of work health, safety and hygiene practices.

Responsibilities

• Maintain legislated workplace health and safety, quality and hygiene standards.
• Complete required documentation and reporting.
• Respond to residents’ queries and requests.
• Laundry duties including loading washers & dryers, sorting linen, hanging, folding, wrapping or ironing linen.
• Catering/food services duties including basic food prep, providing meals and snacks, clearing dining areas and dishwasher duties.
• Cleaning duties including general cleaning, mopping, vacuuming and waste collection in residents’ rooms and communal areas.

About the Home

Bupa South Morang, a modern care home set in a quiet suburban area in South Morang just minutes from transport links, and local shops. 40kms from the CBD, it consists of 65 beds, with a variety of care types. Our primary goal is placing our focus on the health, lifestyle and well-being of our residents.

About the Role

To deliver effective support to the hospitality function within the care home, including catering, cleaning and laundry

Use your fantastic food services and cleaning skills in a role where you really can make a difference by providing our residents with an empathetic and personal approach.

About you

Previous catering / food service or cleaning experience preferred but not essential.

You will be a team player and someone who enjoys interacting with people and giving back to our most vulnerable.

Duties
