Job summary

Trayne Consulting is seeking an experienced Finance Manager for a busy hospitality business on the Gold Coast. This is a hands-on role combining financial management reporting with day-to-day accounting responsibilities.

You will own the finance function, manage high-volume AP/AR, weekly payroll for about 65 staff, bank reconciliations, and statutory reporting. Experience in hospitality awards and payroll is highly valued.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a Financial Controller, Finance Manager, Senior Accountant or similar.
• Strong hands-on accounting and management reporting experience.
• Hospitality, hotel, pub or club experience highly regarded.
• Experience with high-volume AP/AR and weekly payroll.
• Strong knowledge of payroll, including hospitality Award requirements.
• Excellent Excel skills and confidence with Tanda, Lightyear and Xero.
• Experience improving systems, processes and efficiencies.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to work with multiple stakeholders across a busy operation.
• Practical, flexible and team-focused approach.
• Hours may require flexibility; National Police Check required.

Responsibilities

• End-to-end management of the finance and accounting function.
• High-volume accounts payable and receivable.
• Weekly payroll for approximately 65 employees.
• Bank and credit card reconciliations across multiple accounts.
• Management accounts and financial reporting.
• BAS, IAS, GST, superannuation and STP requirements.
• CAPEX tracking and reporting.
• Supplier account management and weekly payment runs.
• Identifying opportunities to streamline systems, processes and reporting.
• Providing financial information and commercial insight to management.
