Job summary

Icon Group's Slade Pharmacy North Gosford, located in Gosford Private Hospital, is hiring a pharmacist on a permanent part-time basis. The weekend shift runs Saturdays 07:00–11:00, with potential extra weekday shifts. The role focuses on hospital discharge services in a dynamic environment.

Open to all registered pharmacists; hospital experience not required. Training and mentoring are provided to support a successful transition into hospital pharmacy.

Qualifications

• General registration with AHPRA, with no restrictions on practice.
• Australian working rights, valid for at least 12 months from start date.
• Strong knowledge of PBS (Pharmaceutical Benefits Scheme).
• Long-term commitment to the required shifts.

Responsibilities

• Provide discharge medication lists and counselling to patients at Saturday discharge services.
• Support ICU, CCU, Cardiac Lab and general wards with clinical discharge processes.
• Collaborate with hospital staff to optimise pharmacotherapy at discharge.
• Maintain accurate documentation and ensure patient safety during transitions.

About the Role

This role supports the expansion of our clinical discharge service at Gosford Private Hospital, delivering pharmacy services to patients being discharged on Saturdays.

• Provide discharge medication lists, medications, and counselling to patients in the following areas:
• Critical Care Wards (ICU and Coronary Care)
• Cardiac Catheter Lab (Gosford Heart Centre)
• General Wards

About You

We’re looking for pharmacists who bring a patient‑centred approach, strong attention to detail, and the ability to communicate confidently with both patients and healthcare professionals. Whether you're an experienced hospital pharmacist or new to hospital pharmacy, we'll provide the training, support, and mentoring needed to succeed in the role. Community pharmacists looking to make the transition into hospital pharmacy are strongly encouraged to apply.

Essential Requirements

• General registration with AHPRA, with no restrictions on practice.

Desirable Skills & Experience

• Hospital or clinical pharmacy experience.
