Job summary

Healius is hiring a Hospital Pathology Collector to collect blood and non-blood samples across hospital wards, delivering a professional and caring patient experience in a fast-paced clinical setting.

The role emphasizes accuracy, teamwork with clinicians, and adherence to procedures, with a six-week paid training program. A Certificate III in Pathology Collection is desirable, and candidates with healthcare backgrounds are welcome to apply.

Qualifications

• WWCC required or willingness to obtain before commencement.
• Evidence of immunisation including Hepatitis B.
• Pathology collection experience desirable but not essential.
• Hospital or acute setting experience desirable but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Collect blood and other samples from patients within the hospital with precision and care.
• Build and maintain strong working relationships with doctors, nurses and hospital staff to support patient care.
• Prepare and package specimens for transport in line with procedures and turnaround requirements.
• Maintain accurate records and follow required processes.
• Support smooth day-to-day operations within a busy hospital environment.
