Job summary

NSW Health in Randwick is seeking a permanent, full-time Fitter/Motor Mechanic at Prince of Wales Hospital to maintain and repair mechanical services across the campus. The 38-hour week offers a salary of $65,984–$75,882 per year plus super.

The role requires mechanical fitting qualifications, license to operate tools, and ability to work within a multidisciplinary team. A boiler attendant license or willingness to obtain one is preferred; a current driver license is required.

Qualifications

• Relevant qualifications in mechanical fitting or equivalent.
• Demonstrated maintenance experience in a large building complex or hospital.
• Ability to interpret building and services plans.
• Hold a boiler attendant license or willing to obtain one after commencement.
• Experience with fitter’s tools including lathes, bench drills, grinders, oxy and electric welders.
• Sound communication, computer literacy and teamwork.
• Work Health and Safety awareness; White Card preferred.
• Current driver's license and willingness to travel.

Responsibilities

• Provide mechanical services maintenance across the Prince of Wales Campus.
• Install, inspect, maintain and repair mechanical services.
• Ensure safe work practices are followed in a busy hospital environment.
