Job summary

Port Lincoln Hospital, Eyre and Far North Local Health Network, is seeking a reliable Kitchenhand for a permanent part-time role at 22.5 hours per week on a 7 day roster.

You will prepare meals, clean equipment, assist with housekeeping and laundry, and ensure infection-control standards. Experience in a commercial kitchen and a current food safety certificate are preferred; salary is WHD-2 with pro-rata weekly pay plus super and benefits.

Qualifications

• Experience in a commercial kitchen or hospital support setting.
• Understanding of food safety and hygiene practices.
• Willingness to obtain/hold a current food safety certificate.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, portion and deliver meals to patients per dietary requirements.
• Clean and sanitise kitchen equipment and patient areas to infection-control standards.
• Perform general housekeeping to maintain a safe environment.
• Assist with laundry duties to support ward operations.
