Job summary

Tasmania Government, Department of Health, is seeking a part-time Hotel Services Attendant to support George Town Hospital and affiliated Community Centre. The role focuses on cleaning, hygiene, and safety to deliver quality care in a community setting.

You will perform kitchen cleaning tasks, waste management, and equipment monitoring in line with ASQHCS and agency policies. The appointment is permanent, 49 hours per fortnight, with pro rata salary and benefits.

Qualifications

• Must be able to clean and maintain hospital areas to high hygiene standards.
• Experience with waste collection and disposal procedures preferred.
• Ability to monitor equipment and report issues to supervisors.

Responsibilities

• Clean and maintain all hospital and community centre areas to a high standard.
• Collect and remove domestic waste to designated areas.
• Monitor and report the condition of equipment and appliances to the Hotel Services Coordinator.
