Job summary

HammondCare in NSW is seeking a dedicated Cleaner to help keep hospital areas clean, safe and welcoming for patients, visitors and staff. This role is part of the Mission and Mission in Action, and the organisation is NSW Health affiliated.

You will follow directions, work autonomously, and communicate in English, with responsibilities including following safety procedures, maintaining hygiene, and supporting infection prevention.

Qualifications

• Experience as a cleaner in Health or Aged Care is desirable.
• Able to follow directions and complete tasks.
• Able to communicate in English, read labels and write a simple report.
• Capable of working autonomously and liaising with staff and patients.
• Multicultural sensitivity or experience in a multicultural setting.

Responsibilities

• Deliver cleaning services in all hospital areas to maintain a clean environment and reduce infections.
• Support patient-centred care by upholding high cleanliness and safety standards.
