Job summary

BlueCare is seeking a Home Services Officer for Dicky Beach Gardens Aged Care on casual terms. You will join onsite hospitality, delivering high-quality dining, cleaning and laundry services in a safe, person-centred environment.

Roles require prioritising tasks while maintaining hygiene and safety, with shifts starting early morning to late afternoon. You will help with meal prep, dining setup, room and linen care, and engaging with residents in a warm, respectful manner.

Qualifications

• Experience in hospitality, cleaning, food services or similar environments.
• Demonstrated ability to provide person-centred customer service with warmth and respect.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team.
• Ability to prioritise tasks and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent attention to detail and commitment to hygiene and safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Assist with meal preparation and service, ensuring meals are delivered safely and meet dietary requirements.
• Set up and maintain clean, welcoming dining areas and support residents during mealtimes.
• Perform cleaning and laundry duties, including maintaining resident rooms and shared areas and caring for clothing and linen.
• Engage with residents in a warm and respectful manner, creating a positive experience.
• Deliver a high standard of hygiene and safety across all tasks.
• Support the team with daily operations to ensure smooth service delivery.

You will be organised, motivated and take pride in delivering excellent service, supporting residents with the following:

Assistwithmeal preparation and service, ensuring meals are delivered safely and meet dietary requirements

Set up andmaintainclean, welcoming dining areasand support residents during mealtimes

Performcleaning and laundry duties, includingmaintainingresident rooms and shared areas and caring for clothing and linen

Engage with residents in awarm and respectful manner, creating a positive experience

Deliver ahigh standard of hygiene and safetyacross all tasks

Support the team withdaily operationsto ensure smooth service delivery

Role requirements

• Prior experience in hospitality, cleaning, foodservicesor similar environment
• Demonstrated ability to provide person-centred customer service with warmth and respect
• Strong communicationskills and ability to work collaboratively in a team
• Ability to prioritise tasks and work effectively in a fast-paced environment
• Excellent attention to detail and commitment to hygiene and safety standards
• Understanding of or willingness to learn food safety, infectioncontroland cleaning practices
• NDIS Workers Screening Clearance or willingness to obtain
• Confidence to satisfy the relevant probity checks required by legislation or policies
