Job summary

BlueCare in Kingaroy is seeking a Home Services Officer (All-Rounder) to join our aged care facility on a casual basis. You will support residents with meals, cleaning, laundry and dining room assistance, helping to create a welcoming and comfortable environment.

The role offers varied shifts across kitchen, cleaning and laundry tasks, with opportunities to make meaningful differences in residents' daily lives and wellbeing.

Qualifications

• Experience in hospitality, food services, cleaning, or a similar role.
• Customer-focused approach with commitment to quality service.
• Understanding of food safety and infection control practices.
• NDIS Workers Screening Clearance or willingness to obtain.

Responsibilities

• Assist with meal preparation, service, and dining room support.
• Clean resident rooms and shared areas to a high standard.
• Provide laundry services for resident clothing and linen.
• Support residents with respectful, person-centred service.

• Employment Term: Casual Opportunity Available!

• Roster: Please clearly state your availability for shifts on your application questionnaire. Morning shifts can start as early as 6am. Afternoon shifts can finish as late as 8pm.

• Location: Kingaroy Aged Care Facility

• Remuneration: $37.56 p/hr (including casual loading) + Super + Not for Profit Salary Packaging + Penalties & Allowances

About the role:

As a Home Services Officer, you’ll help create a clean, welcoming and comfortable environment for residents in our aged care home, supporting their wellbeing and quality of life through activities that include:

• Assisting with meal preparation, meal service and dining room support

• Cleaning resident rooms and shared areas to a high standard

• Providing laundry services, including caring for resident clothing and linen

• Supporting residents with warm, respectful and person-centred service

• Following food safety, infection control and hygiene practices

• Working as part of the hospitality team to deliver quality daily services

Role requirements:

• Experience in hospitality, food services, cleaning, laundry or a similar role

• A customer-focused approach with a commitment to providing quality service

• Understanding of food safety, infection control and cleaning practices

• Confidence to satisfy the relevant probity checks required by legislation or policies

• NDIS Workers Screening Clearance or willingness to obtain
