Job summary

BlueCare in Lowood is seeking a Home Services Officer (All-Rounder) to support residents in our aged care facility. The role covers kitchen hand, cleaning and laundry tasks, helping create a welcoming environment and contributing to residents' wellbeing.

As part of the care team, you will assist with meals, service in dining areas, room cleaning, and laundry, while adhering to food safety and hygiene standards. A flexible shift pattern and supportive work culture are offered.

Qualifications

• Experience in hospitality, food services, cleaning, laundry or similar role.
• Customer-focused approach and commitment to quality service.
• Understanding of food safety, infection control and cleaning practices.
• Confidence to satisfy probity checks required by legislation.
• NDIS Workers Screening Clearance or willingness to obtain.

Responsibilities

• Assist with meal preparation, meal service and dining room support.
• Clean resident rooms and shared areas to a high standard.
• Provide laundry services for resident clothing and linen.
• Support residents with warm, respectful, person-centred service.
• Follow food safety, infection control and hygiene practices.
• Work as part of hospitality team to deliver daily services.

• Employment Term: Part-time Opportunity available
• Roster: Please clearly state your availability for shifts on your application questionnaire. Morning shifts can start as early as 6am. Afternoon shifts can finish as late as 8pm.
• Location: Lowood Aged Care Facility
• Remuneration: $30.05 p/hr ($37.56 p/hr casual) + Super + Not for Profit Salary Packaging + Penalties & Allowances

About the role:

As a Home Services Officer, you'll help create a clean, welcoming and comfortable environment for residents in our aged care home, supporting their wellbeing and quality of life through activities that include:
