Job summary

BlueCare, part of UnitingCare Queensland, is seeking a Home Services Officer at Bundaberg Riverlea Aged Care Facility to support dining, cleaning and laundry services in a person-centred environment.

You will assist with meals, maintain dining areas, perform cleaning and laundry duties, and interact with residents with warmth and respect to uphold safety and hygiene standards.

Qualifications

• Prior experience in hospitality, cleaning, food services or similar environment.
• Demonstrated ability to provide person-centred customer service with warmth and respect.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team.
• Ability to prioritise tasks and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent attention to detail and commitment to hygiene and safety standards.
• Understanding of or willingness to learn food safety, infection control and cleaning practices.
• NDIS Workers Screening Clearance or willingness to obtain.
• Confidence to satisfy the relevant probity checks required by legislation or policies.

Responsibilities

• Assist with meal preparation and service, ensuring meals are delivered safely and meet dietary requirements
• Set up and maintain clean, welcoming dining areas and support residents during mealtimes
• Perform cleaning and laundry duties, including maintaining resident rooms and shared areas and caring for clothing and linen
• Engage with residents in a warm and respectful manner, creating a positive experience
• Deliver a high standard of hygiene and safety across all tasks
• Support the team with daily operations to ensure smooth service delivery

About The Role
