Job summary

Uniting AgeWell is seeking caring Home Care Workers to support ageing clients at home across Inner South Melbourne and surrounding communities. You will help clients stay independent and dignified, with emphasis on safety, comfort and respectful, person-centred care.

This part-time role requires a minimum commitment of 20 hours per fortnight and availability on at least three weekdays during daytime hours. Training and PPE are provided.

• Experience in a home care setting or providing domestics support is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Assisting with personal care (showering, grooming, toileting, mobility).
• Performing household tasks (vacuuming, mopping, laundry).
• Preparing meals and assisting with grocery shopping.
• Cleaning kitchens, bathrooms and shared spaces.
• Providing social support and transport to appointments and activities.
• Monitoring client wellbeing and reporting concerns.
• Respecting client preferences, cultural background and values.

This is a qualifiedpart-timerole that requires a minimum commitment of 20 hours per fortnight, and you must have availability of at least three weekdays per week during daytime hours.

This role will see you supporting clients in Albert Park, Elwood, Port Melbourne, St Kilda, Southbank, Windsor and surrounding communities. Our Home Care Hub for this role is located in Berwick and will require the occasional trip out for training, meetings, and restocking on PPE.

Home Care Worker - key responsibilities may include (depending on client needs):

• Assisting with personal care, such as showering, grooming, toileting and mobility assistance
• Performing household tasks to maintain a safe and tidy space, such as vacuuming, mopping, dusting, and laundry
• Preparing meals and assisting with grocery shopping
• Cleaning kitchens, bathrooms and shared living spaces
• Providing social support and transport to appointments and community activities
• Monitoring client wellbeing and promptly reporting any concerns
• Respecting each clients preferences, cultural background, and values

• Valid Victorian Drivers Licenceand access to a reliable, insured vehicle
