Job summary

Mercy Aged and Community Care Ltd is seeking a casual Home Care Worker to support clients to live independently at home through domestic duties including cleaning and laundry.

You’ll work across multiple client locations in the Melbourne area, delivering compassionate care with reliability and strong communication. A current CPR/First Aid cert and a Victorian driver’s licence are required, along with NDIS clearance and orientation.

Qualifications

• Certificate III/IV in Home or Aged Care is required.
• CPR and First Aid certificates are required.
• Current Victorian Driver's Licence essential.
• NDIS clearance and orientation module required.

Responsibilities

• Provide domestic assistance with cleaning and laundry.
• Support Home Care clients to live independently at home.
• Build trustful relationships with clients and coordinate basic tasks.

The requirements of this role are:

• Certificate III/IV in Home or Aged Care.
• A valid CPR certificate.
• A valid first aid certificate.
• A current Victorian Drivers License.
• NDIS clearance.
• NDIS Orientation Module.

To thrive in this role, you will have:

• Passion about helping people in your community, with strong relationship building, time management and budget management skills.
• Previous case management experience as well as relevant qualifications.
• Strong communication and organisational skills.
• A safe, sensible approach with a practical understanding of people's physical limitations.
• The ability to be flexible and adapt to meet clients' individual needs.
