Job summary

Healthcare Australia is seeking a Homecare Support Worker to provide compassionate, in-home care for elderly clients across North Lakes and nearby suburbs. You will help with daily living activities while supporting independence and dignity.

Shifts are flexible and local, with upfront onboarding and ongoing training. Availability on Mondays and Fridays from 7:00 am is required. You will carry a Certificate III or IV in Aged Care or equivalent and a current First Aid certificate.

Qualifications

• Certificate III or IV in Aged Care or related field.
• Current First Aid & CPR certification.
• National Police Check (dated within the last 6 months).
• Australian Driver's Licence and vehicle with insurance.
• Smartphone with internet access.
• Willingness to complete online onboarding and attend paid induction.

Responsibilities

• Personal care: assisting with showering, grooming, dressing and reminders.
• Social support & transport: accompany clients to appointments and outings.
• Domestic assistance: light housekeeping, laundry and meal prep.
• Mobility support: assist with walking aids and equipment.
• Complex care: support clients with higher or specialised needs.
• Wellbeing monitoring: observe and report health changes.
• Documentation: record visit notes via mobile app.

About the Role

As a HomecareSupport Worker with Healthcare Australia (HCA), you'll deliver compassionate, personalised care to elderly clients in their homes—helping them stay independent and live well. Every day is different, as you travel between clients to provide support tailored to their individual needs.

Local shifts are available in North Lakes, and surrounding suburbs. You must have availability on Mondays and Fridays from 7:00 am.

Your Responsibilities

• Personal care: Assisting with showering, grooming, dressing, and medication reminders
• Social support & transport: Taking clients to appointments, shopping, and outings
• Domestic assistance: Light housekeeping, laundry, and meal preparation
• Mobility support: Helping with walking aids or personal equipment
• Complex care: Supporting clients with higher or specialised care needs
• Wellbeing monitoring: Observing and reporting any changes in health or behaviour
• Documentation: Recording visit notes using our easy-to-use mobile app

About You

You are compassionate, reliable, and committed to making a positive impact in people's lives. You're a strong communicator and know how to build trust and connection with others. Flexibility and adaptability come naturally to you.

You'll also have:

• A Certificate III or IV in Aged Care, Individual Support, Home & Community Care, or Disability (required)
• Current First Aid & CPR certification
• A valid National Police Check (dated within the last 6 months)
• An Australian Driver's Licence and your own reliable vehicle with comprehensive insurance
• A smartphone with internet access
• Willingness to complete online onboarding, training modules, and attend a paid in-person induction (Brisbane, Gold Coast, or Sunshine Coast)
