Job summary

Carrington in NSW is seeking a compassionate Home Care Employee to join our Community team, delivering person-centred in-home care so older people can live independently in their own homes. You will perform domestic tasks and personal care in line with individual care plans across Macarthur/Wollondilly regions.

We have part-time roles with varied start times from 6:00am to 8:00pm, school-hours friendly and rosters tailored to availability and travel region. No relocation required.

Qualifications

• Certificate III in Individual Support (or equivalent) is required.
• Right to work in Australia.
• Pre-employment assessment and National Criminal History check will be conducted during recruitment.

Responsibilities

• Domestic tasks such as cleaning, vacuuming, washing and meal preparation.
• Personal care services such as assistance with self-care, transport and social support.

The Opportunity

As a Home care Employee with Carrington's Community team, you will provide person-centred, quality in-home care to support older persons to live independently in their homes. You will provide domestic tasks or personal care services in accordance with individual care plans to Support at Home (SaH) and Commonwealth Home Support Program (CHSP) to program participants in the Macarthur &/or Wollondilly region. You will enjoy a varied role, building rapport with our clients as you supporting them to meet their goals and enable continued choice and independence.

We have Part Time opportunities available providing services within the hours of 6:00am to 8:00pm, with rosters tailored to match your availability (e.g. school hours) and preferred travel region within Macarthur.

Responsibilities:

• Domestic tasks - such as cleaning, vacuuming, washing and meal preparation; or
• Personal care services - such as assistance with self-care, transport and social support.

About You

• Reliable transport with comprehensive car insurance
• Current first aid certificate
• Required for Personal Care - Certificate III in Individual Support (or equivalent)
• Right to work in Australia
• Completion of a pre-employment assessment and a National Criminal History check clearance during recruitment process
• Experience not essential for Domestic Support.
