Job summary

Uniting AgeWell is expanding its Home Care team in Echuca, offering part-time in-home domestic support to help older people stay independent at home. You will travel between clients' homes in Echuca and surrounds, performing cleaning, laundry and general household tasks to maintain safe and comfortable living environments.

About the role

Our Support at Home Program helps older people live safely and independently in their own homes for as long as possible.

We're expanding our Home Care team and have opportunities supporting clients in Echucaand surrounds. As part of this role, you'll travel between clients' homes throughout your local area, providing domestic assistance.

These are part-time positions with guaranteed contracted hours of 20 hours per fortnight. To meet client and rostering requirements, successful candidates will have daytime availability across at least three weekdays per week.

What you will be doing

• Travelling between clients' homes across your local area to provide personalised in-home support.
• Providing domestic assistance and household support tailored to each client's individual needs, including cleaning, vacuuming, mopping, dusting, laundry, changing bed linen, tidying and other household tasks.
• Supporting clients to maintain a safe, clean and comfortable home environment.
• Building respectful, professional relationships with clients and their families through regular visits and meaningful interactions.
• Respecting and incorporating each client's cultural, spiritual and individual needs.
• Maintaining accurate records and completing required documentation.
• Working collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team to support positive client outcomes.

To be successful in this role, you will have:

• Experience in domestic support, cleaning, housekeeping or a similar role (desirable)
• A commitment to respectful, high-quality support
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills
• The ability to work independently and manage your time effectively
• A positive attitude and a genuine desire to support older people to live independently at home

You must have, or be willing to obtain:

• Current First Aid and CPR certificates
• A Victorian Driver Licence
• Access to a reliable, registered and insured vehicle for work-related travel
• A Victorian Working With Children Check (Employee)
• Current and ongoing flu vaccination
• A National Police Check
