Job summary

Vitalis Health is seeking a Casual Occupational Therapist to deliver home-based visits across New South Wales. You will assess clients in their own environment, develop practical, goal-oriented strategies and work with nurses, doctors and allied health staff to support safety and independence.

Applicants should have a qualification in Occupational Therapy with AHPRA registration and experience in NDIS, rehabilitation or aged care.

Qualifications

• Qualified Occupational Therapist with current AHPRA registration.
• Experience in community care, NDIS, rehabilitation, aged care or complex care.
• Strong clinical reasoning and confidence working autonomously in clients’ homes.
• Clear communication and reliable documentation.
• Current Australian driver licence and capacity to travel locally for visits.
• Ability to meet pre-employment and client-service compliance requirements, including NDIS Worker Screening where applicable.

Responsibilities

• Assess clients in their own environment and develop practical, goal-oriented strategies.
• Conduct functional, cognitive and occupational therapy assessments in clients’ homes.
• Support activities of daily living, home safety and independence.
• Provide rehabilitation in the home after illness, injury, surgery or hospitalisation.
• Prescribe equipment and assess home modification needs.
• Collaborate with support coordinators, nurses, physiotherapists and other health professionals.
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation, reports and progress notes.
