Douglass Hanly Moir Pathology in Macquarie Park NSW invites applications for a Technical or Scientific Officer in our Histology Department. This 12-month maternity relief role supports routine histology, slide preparation and equipment maintenance.

You will hold a Medical Science degree or AIMS-equivalent, have at least two years in a histology lab, and work Monday to Friday 8am–4pm, with a strong focus on accuracy, teamwork and safety.

Formación

• Medical Science degree or AIMS-equivalent required.
• Minimum 2 years in histology/anatomy lab.
• Full-time 8am–4pm, Mon–Fri, 12-month maternity relief.

Responsabilidades

• Perform routine histology procedures including microtomy and embedding for slides.
• Maintain and operate laboratory equipment and instruments.
• Adhere to standard lab protocols and safety regulations.
• Collaborate with the team to ensure efficient workflow and high-quality results.
• Troubleshoot equipment and technical issues as needed.
