Job summary

Hastings Deering (Australia) Ltd is seeking an experienced HV Technical Trainer for a 7/7 rostered position. You will design and deliver high-voltage training to internal technicians, mine site personnel, and external customers, blending classroom, workshop, and hands-on field sessions to build competency.

You will stay current with HV technologies, CAT equipment systems, and industry safety standards while developing training materials and mentoring learners.

Qualifications

• HV safety and regulatory knowledge across mining and heavy equipment.
• Experience delivering technical training, coaching, or capability development.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills for diverse audiences.
• Willingness to travel to customer and mine sites as required.

Responsibilities

• Deliver High Voltage technical training to internal technicians, mine site personnel, and external customers.
• Conduct classroom, workshop, and field-based training to support learner competency.
• Facilitate training on High Voltage maintenance, isolation, switching, troubleshooting and safety practices.
• Develop and review training materials, assessments, and learning resources.
• Provide coaching and technical guidance to support learner success.
• Collaborate with leaders and customers to identify training needs and drive improvement.
