Job summary

JLE Manufacturing and Hire in Orange, NSW, seeks experienced High Voltage Technicians to join our expanding team. You will install, maintain, test and repair HV equipment and systems, collaborating with Senior HV technicians and Workshop Electricians in Newcastle and Orange to support mining, tunnelling, civil construction, and rail projects across Australia.

Ideal candidates are Electrically qualified with HV switching qualifications, capable of reading technical drawings, and able to work

Qualifications

Electrically qualified and capable of working independently or in a team.
Current HV Switching Qualifications are required.
Able to read and follow technical drawings and work instructions.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety.

Responsibilities

Carry out high voltage switching and installation.
Carry out terminations and jointing.
Testing, commissioning, and fault-finding on transformers, switchgear, cables, and protection relays.
Install, maintain, and repair high voltage electrical systems.
Prepare technical reports, permits, and test documentation.
Support project teams during shutdowns, upgrades, and commissioning activities.
Travel to projects/sites to carry out works.
Maintain compliance with electrical safety standards and company procedures.
