Job summary

Ampcontrol is seeking a High Voltage Field Service technician to join their HV crew based in Brisbane, QLD. You will perform HV statutory testing, commissioning and maintenance of electrical installations as part of a professional team.

You will bring a strong safety focus, proven experience with HV systems, and the ability to troubleshoot and diagnose HV issues, while traveling regularly to diverse sites. The role requires dedication to customer service and adherence to standards.

Qualifications

• HV switching certificate and related testing experience.
• Experience with HV systems and testing equipment.
• Ability to travel regularly and work across locations.
• Strong safety focus and adherence to procedures.
• Documentation of all work and client reports.

Responsibilities

• Perform HV statutory testing, commissioning, and maintenance.
• Travel to sites as required.
• Prepare commissioning plans and documentation.
• Assist customers and provide service quality.

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

Ampcontrol are seeking a new team member to join their High Voltage Field Service crew based in Brisbane, QLD. You will play a pivotal role in HV statutory testing, commissioning and maintenance of electrical installations as part of a professional and positive team.

• Ability to troubleshoot & diagnose issues in HV Systems
• Strong adherence to safety protocols and procedures
• Understanding of industry standards for HV work
• Service experience in the electrical trades/technical roles

• Team orientated person
• Ability to adapt to fast changing environments and situations
• Ability to learn quickly and deliver to set timeframes
• Prepared to travel regularly

EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE

• HV Switching certificate
• Protection Relay Testing
• Transformers Testing
• Switchgear Maintenance & Testing
• Earth Testing
• HV cable fault locating and testing (VLF / TD)
• Functional Performance Testing (FPT) & Compliance
• Supporting Preparation & implementation of commissioning plans
• Documentation of all work performed, including maintenance & customer reports
• Familiar in the use of: Doble F6150, Omicron CMC 256/356, Omicron CPC 100
