Hastings Deering (Australia) Ltd invites an experienced High Voltage Electrician to join our Middlemount team. You will maintain CAT mining equipment, diagnose complex electrical faults, and perform warranty work on high voltage systems while ensuring safety and quality standards across a 7/7 day/night roster.

Qualifications

• Electrical trade qualifications with heavy industry/mining experience.
• High voltage capability on mining/heavy machinery.
• Standard 11/Coal Board Medical or ability to obtain them.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and repair CAT mining equipment, including high voltage systems.
• Perform fault finding, diagnostics and warranty work.
• Complete service reports, timesheets and quotes accurately.
• Communicate progress and equipment status to site stakeholders.

This is a **Permanent 7/7 Day/Night Shift roster** Drive In/Drive Out role servicing one of Queensland's leading mining operations.**What you'll be doing**As a **High Voltage Electrician** at Hastings Deering, you will:* **Maintain critical fleet assets** – perform electrical maintenance, fault finding, repairs and warranty work on CAT mining equipment, including high voltage systems.* **Deliver safe, quality outcomes** – ensure all work is completed to the highest safety and quality standards, minimising rework and maximising equipment availability.* **Diagnose and troubleshoot effectively** – utilise Caterpillar diagnostic systems and technical resources to identify and resolve complex electrical faults.* **Keep customers informed** – provide clear communication on job progress, repair requirements and equipment status to onsite stakeholders.* **Support equipment reliability** – assess components for reusability and make recommendations to optimise equipment performance and lifecycle.* **Complete accurate documentation** – submit detailed service reports, timecards, parts requests and quotations in a timely manner.**Who are we and why work with us?**Hastings Deering is proud to be one of the top 5 Caterpillar dealerships globally.
